Mr. Gray practices law exclusively in the field of intellectual property, including legal opinion, and prosecution matters, with specific concentration in the areas of computer networks, software, and related Internet technologies, computer graphics hardware and software, optics (imaging and non-imaging), lasers, laser-based sensing systems, digital and analog control systems, wireless communication devices, medical devices, medical diagnostic systems, and environmental sensing systems.
With extensive experience in formulating patent strategies and in managing patent portfolios, Mr. Gray handles preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the U.S. and foreign countries in addition to handling reexamination and reissue applications and counseling and rendering opinions on patentability, patent validity, and patent infringement.
Prior to joining the firm in 2012, Mr. Gray worked at a large Intellectual Property firm in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1996. Prior to law school, Mr. Gray worked for his Graduate school advisor, Dr. Sally Ride, performing computer modeling of properties of Free Electron lasers.
