Mr. Gass practices in the field of intellectual property law, especially patent law.  Mr. Gass specializes in licensing, litigation, IP related due diligence reviews for mergers & acquisitions, trade secret counseling, rendering legal opinions with respect to patent infringement and/or validity, Inter Partes Review proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and patent preparation and prosecution, with specific concentration in the areas of electrical, computer, software and mechanical technologies.  Recent technologies with which he has been involved include mobile devices, mobile device operating systems, electrically small antennas, capacitive touch displays, biometric sensors, power amplifiers, control systems, cybersecurity systems, Hospital IT infrastructure including nurse call systems, telecommunication networks including 3G, 4G and 5G networks, microprocessor architectures, cache memory architectures, digital imaging, medical imaging, integrated circuits, Hall Effect sensors, ignition systems, and oil and water separation technology.

Prior to pursuing a career in law, Mr. Gass worked as an electrical engineer within the mobile devices division of Motorola. His work with Motorola encompassed the fields of electrically small antennas, RF circuitry, and cellular communication software. This experience provides him with a unique insight into technology companies and their IP-related business needs.
