Ms. Szelag practices law in the field of intellectual property, with emphasis on patent counseling and litigation in the pharmaceutical, biochemical, and chemical arts. Ms. Szelag has particular experience in issues arising under the Hatch-Waxman Act. She has counseled clients and prepared opinions on issues of patentability, infringement, validity, and enforceability. She also has experience in formulating trial strategies and has served as trial counsel in patent infringement litigation in the U.S. federal courts. In addition, Ms. Szelag has experience in managing patent portfolios, and has prepared and prosecuted U.S. and international patents, principally in the pharmaceutical and chemical arts.
